X:60 T:Long Note, The M:12/8 R:Slip Jig L:1/8 B:Treoir 1970 N:Now theres a story to this one. I well remember the first session I ever attended in N:Cuil Aodha, Dan Cronin, John Connell and Connie Walsh, fine musicians all, pulled N:this one "out of the bag" and we all had to hear it over and over again, we were so N:captivated by it. We sometimes call it "The Long Note" due to the tendency we had to N:dwell on the long D at the end of each part. Perhaps a more appropriate name would be N:"Jenny from Baile Mhuirne," as it is a very close relation of "Jenny's Welcome to N:Charley."
