X:213 T:Wild Irishman, The R:Single Jig M:12/8 L:1/8 B:Treoir 1974 N:Rev. John Quinn, C.C. of Lanesborough writes "I was very interested in your N:O'Rourke's reel - Wild Irishman theory in a recent issue of "Treoir. I enclose a N:'Wild Irishman' single jig taken down from a tape of Joe Kilmurray, a piper,k of N:Ballynacargy, Co. Westmeath, who died about 10 years ago. It is one of the O'Rourke N:Wild Irishman Clan - at least the second part of it. I wrote it as he played it, with N:variations noted as well as I could. It is one of about 120 tunes recorded from Joe N:Kilmurray by Patrick Greene of Ballinalee. In these recordings Joe played the tin N:whistle having retired from piping a few years previously".
