X:343 T:Creaking Door, The R:Slip Jig B:Treoir 1981 C:Tom Barrett M:9/8 L:1/8 N:A slip jig composed by Tom Barrett after the recent teachers course. Tom says:"If one N:enters the Conference Room via the Jim Seery Library, one must pass through a N:connecting door. I wonder how many noticed that every time the door is opened it N:creaks. Funny nobody ever remarked on it or even suggested something should be done N:about it. I felt the powers that be know all about it and have decided to do nothing!! N:Why? The reason is obvious. It has a musical creak!! And having heard its dulcet N:tones I "Uncle" Tom decided something should be done to perpetuate its memory. Hence N:the following Slip Jig.
