Longford in January 1904 and tragically killed in New York in N:September 1932 exactly on wek before he was due to return, permanently to Ireland. N:He was very popular in Irish Traditional music circles in New York during the N:twenties. In 1927, he recorded a number of fiddle duets with the legendary Sligo N:fiddler Michael Coleman. He recorded this tune as a Schottische but it sounds more N:like a hornpipe.
