N:notated from the playing of Noel Strange (1927-1970) of Longford, recorded in 1962
N:and 1963. Noel in his day, was a very popular figure in traditional music circles,
N:both as a musician and an adjudicator. He broadcast frequently on Radi\'o \'Eireann
N:(RT\'E). He played the banjo-mandolin, a very rare instrument in those days, in
N:traditional music.
