N:This unusual tune was recorded from the McDonagh brothers of Ballinafad, Co. Sligo.
N:Larry (1911-1984) played the flute and Michael Joe (1904-1988) played the fiddle.
N:They had a very distinctive "old" style of playing which has now disappeared
N:completely. They also had an extensive repertoire of tunes, mostly rare tunes, which
N:they inherited from previous generations of musicians in the area. This tune can be
N:heard on the CD entitled: The McDonaghs of Balllinafad and Friends, issued by CC\'E
N:in 1988.
