N:A South Leitrim Reel, this tune comes from the collection of Alex Sutherland, a
N:fiddler from Drumreilly in South Co. Leitrim. He collected a large number of tunes
N:in the area during the first half of the last century and wrote them into a
N:manuscript which, unfortunately, was never published. Luckily he sent a portion of
N:it to the Irish Folklore Commission because, later the rest of it was accidentally
N:destroyed. A setting of the tune appears in O'Neills Music of Ireland, NO. 1304.
N:Another setting appears in Brendan Breathnach's 'An Cnuasacht Iomlan den Cheol
N:Damhas', and yet another was recorded for Radion Eireann in 1949 by the great Sligo
N:fiddler, Paddy Killoran.
