N:Planxty Mary McClare is a tribute to a great Comhaltas stalwart and ardent follower
N:of Irish Traditional Music, who lived in Rotherham, in Yorkshire. She founded a
N:branch of Comhaltas in Rotherham in the early sixties and kept it going, with little
N:help, for any years until local interest grew in the early seventies and many more
N:people joined it. She passed away earlier this year. The tune was composed by
N:another great Comhaltas stalwart, Mick Furey, who lives in Maltby, Rotherham.
