N:From the article: "Changing the origin of our reels" by Leo Rowsome: Our Traditional
N:way of playing reels has in some cases been altered by changing the last two bars, by
N:omitting the part and substituting or borrowing the last two bars of an entirely
N:different reel. I give an example above where part of the Congress Reel has been
N:substituted by the last two bars of the Hunters Purse Reel. It is clearly shown that
N:the Congress Reel on the second stave (underneath) in each part has been entirely
N:omitted by most of our leading performing bands. Let us not alter the structure of
N:any reel by changing or borrowing from some other tune, but let us improvise.
