- 1,000 open-reel 1/4" audio tapes, largely field recordings, with accompanying labels and notes, held at Cultúrlann na hÉireann. These tapes were collected during the tenure Séamus MacMathúna as the Timre Cheoil (Music Officer) of CCÉ. Many of these recordings were made by Séamus himself, while others were collected and donated to Comhaltas during this timer period.

This and the other similar untitled/unaccompanied recording accredited to McKenna are very curious, perhaps another man with the same name? McKenna died in 1947, basically before cheap tape recorders were available to the public; perhaps they were made in a studio, but at that stage folk musicians were still being recorded on acetate, and this sounds like a tape recording.
