- 1,000 open-reel 1/4" audio tapes, largely field recordings, with accompanying labels and notes, held at Cultúrlann na hÉireann. These tapes were collected during the tenure Séamus MacMathúna as the Timre Cheoil (Music Officer) of CCÉ. Many of these recordings were made by Séamus himself, while others were collected and donated to Comhaltas during this timer period.

Really nice to hear the man himself playing the Culfadda Reel; he does some very subtle (but very tasty) variations. Also nice to hear Trim The Velvet in a key that doesn't send the player's pinkie screeching toward a high "c" on the e string, F makes a lot more sense for this tune...
